A recent survey conducted by Delta Faucet, unveiled the true horrors of our bathroom visits. Whilst sitting on the loo, we regularly post status updates, check emails and watch TV, all off our handheld devices. Almost 50% of participants admitted to dedicating 5 minutes off their time to bathroom activities and 90% to multitasking as they went about their toiletry business.
The survey also revealed that men tend to spend more time on the loo then their gender counterparts. Men park their bums there for over 10 minutes at a time! It also highlighted that there is a clear age distinction between the time spent on the loo. Those aged between 25 to 34 were twice as likely to sit on the toilet approximately 10 minutes, whilst those in the age sector of 45 upwards were less likely.
If this is really the case, installing a comfortable royal throne is becoming far more of a necessity than ever imagined. It is a simple update, says Chip Wade (expert craftsman), to a homeowner’s humble abode. You could install a permanent TV into the fixtures of your bathroom, or utilise a small table to hold your tablet while you’re literally ‘on the go’. The bathroom has come a long way since the days of the great Thomas Crapper.
